Ashby is the sister store to Clementine, a women’s consignment boutique, and Clover, a children’s consignment shop – both located in Carytown. Although Ashby only opened in 2012 it feels like it’s been in Carytown forever. The clothes are contemporary and stylish yet the look of the store feels steeped in history. The name comes from the ashby note, one of Virginia’s first forms of currency. Ashby reflects the same nostalgia as the clothes we sell. If our wares could talk, they’d all have a story to tell.
