Located inside Other Brother Brew Co, Ad Astra offers a light, beer-friendly menu and fresh sourdough loaves baked daily! Our bread is made with a 3-day, natural leavening process. All menu items, including condiments, are made in our kitchen by Chef Ron Mendoza and his team.

Ad Astra Bread Co opened in October of 2019 with the intention to bring high quality, naturally leavened sourdough bread products to the Cypress Coast. Owned and operated by Chef Ron Mendoza, James Beard Nominee.

Alaina is a longtime resident of the Monterey Bay, and enjoyed the Seaside life the first 7 years she lived here. She’s excited to give back to the community that began her journey of entrepreneurship! She has a hospitality background, but is known for her work as a musician and music educator. She co-runs Ad Astra alongside her long term partner, Chef Ron Mendoza.
