A-Gem Supply was started in 1961. The name came from the first 4 people who came up with the idea to open the business: Alan, Gerry, Elmo, and Marvin. Alan and Gerry ended up opening up and the business has been going strong ever since! Even today Alan (Jr.) son of one of the original owners continues the business with the same philosophy of taking care of customers! They continue to serve the Treasure Valley and been sought out by customers from Washington State to Washington D.C.

Alan Jr is second generation owner who grew up watching cartoons in black and white and color as a kid and son of one of the original owners. He swept floors, stocked shelves, and later moved to installs and delivery. After finishing school at Boise State university living overseas he returned to help and never left! Now you can even find even another generation working in the store and giving the same great service that A-Gem Supply is known for!
