It also provides catering services and online free recipes. On a monthly Community Day, the company donates 5 percent of a day s sales to a local nonprofit group. It also donates money to local schools and youth organizations, five cents to an organization working to protect the environment on behalf of a customer who brings their own or reuse their bags, and provides hands-on programs to all local schools that involve classroom and in-store experimental learning about nutrition, consumerism, local history and sustainable food systems. New Leaf s FishWise Program uses color-coded signs to help consumers make informed decisions about their seafood purchases, improving seafood sustainability. New Leaf Community Markets has stores in Capitola, Santa Cruz, Felton and Boulder Creek, Calif.

For every reusable bag you bring in, New Leaf Community Market will donate 10¢ to one of six local organizations dedicated to environmental protection, hunger relief, or supporting K-12 schools through the Envirotoken program. We are committed to nourishing our community by giving 10% of our annual profits back to local nonprofits working to improve the quality of life.
