Moonstruck Patisserie

Moonstruck Patisserie specializes in handcrafted European pastries prepared daily with only the freshest of ingredients. Moonstruck carries a full line of breakfast pastries, including a variety of 100% butter croissants, quiche, baked custard fruit tarts, and cream cheese and fruit filled pastries. The shop is known for it’s specialty tortes, such as the Italian Cassata (sponge cake, pastry cream, strawberries and whipped cream) and The Symphony (cheesecake topped with chocolate mousse). In addition, the patisserie features several cheesecakes daily, including lilikoi, fruit topped, black forest, and chocolate marbled. Also to be enjoyed are several mousses (most notable is the white chocolate mango mousse) and trifles. Moonstruck Patisserie demonstrates a level of attentiveness and care for the customer that is rare in today’s marketplace. Coffees and teas are made to order and served in a French press and by the pot and all pastries and beverages are served on china.

The brandchild of owner Jackie Tan-DeWitt, Moonstruck Patisserie opened in February, 2011. Jackie honed her pastry skills working with European pastry chefs in the mainland USA and in Singapore since 1987. Most recently she worked in the pastry kitchen at the Ritz Carlton – Singapore. The shop represents the culmination of years of planning and the creative genius of Jackie and her daughter, Su-Hwei, whose artwork is reflected in a mural that spans the ceiling and one wall of the shop.

A graduate of the school of hospitality management at Michigan State University, Jackie has spent the past 20+ years working in the foodservice and pastry industry, honing her skills under the tutelage of pastry chefs from France, Germany, and Switzerland in a variety of pastry kitchens around the world.
