Established in 1957.
Yervant and Grace Ganimian opened Hye Quality Bakery in 1957. Yervant, a master baker, formulated the recipes for Armenian Cracker Bread (Parag Hatz – lavash) and Peda bread. In 1969 son Sammy joined the family business. Sammy began expanding the business and delivering the Cracker Bread to local markets. In 1976 when Yervant and Grace retired, Sammy’s wife Paula joined him in the business. In 1979 they moved into a state of the art bakery just down the street from the original site. In 1980 Sammy developed the Hye Roller, the original soft cracker bread used for making wraps. The new facility quadrupled production capability thus opening the door to nationwide shipment of the Cracker Bread and the Hye Roller. In the fall of 2000 daughter Joy Ganimian Aller joined the family business making three generations of the family a part of Hye Quality Bakery. Today in addition to our famous Cracker Breads and Hye Roller our retail store offers Armenian specialties, gourmet foods and gifts.
