Wink has been in the jewelry business since 1970 when, as a young Marine, he bought his first gemstone for a girlfriend in Rio de Janeiro. Within days he was buying more and his lifelong love affair and study of gemology was started. He graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in 1975 and opened a store in Boise, ID, selling high quality diamonds, colored gems and jewelry. As the internet evolved Wink saw the potential for an online store if he could guarantee that every diamond would have unequaled beauty. Through High Performance Diamonds he is doing exactly that, specializing in precision-cut Crafted By Infinity diamonds in heirloom quality jewelry. Today Wink is a part-time kayaker and full-time grandfather fulfilling his long-time vision, selling the world’s most High Performance Diamonds to clients around the world.
