Goddess and Grocer is known for freshly made soups and sandwiches, seasonal prepared foods, an amazing salad bar, beautiful cupcakes and desserts, local artisanal products, an extensive and diverse selection of wine and beer, cheese, charcuterie, crackers, chocolate and everything you’d need to host a hopping party!

Owner Debbie Sharpe’s background includes 25 years of catering to the stars of rock and roll including Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner and Madonna.

Meredith comes to Goddess and Grocer with a background in both front of house and production kitchen management, with a strong focus on guest service. After graduating from culinary school in Pasadena, Meredith worked as a baker and pastry chef before managing the marketplace at Joan’s on Third in Los Angeles. Upon returning to Chicago, Meredith led the bakery and Intelligentsia departments at Plum Market in Old Town. She is passionate about local food and coffee culture and their intersection with truly exceptional hospitality!
