Established in 1983.
Maureen Sweeney opened Raspberry Rose in Bellaire and moved it to its current home in the Rice Village in 1983. Maureen was a success in making her boutique the place in Houston to get unparalleled service and unique items that could last a lifetime. By moving to the heart of a shopping destination, Raspberry Rose not only attracted new customers but benefitted current ones too. To keep our loyal customers up to date, Raspberry Rose has evolved over the years to stay current with the latest trends and styles. Longtime customers remember Maureen’s daughter, Carrie, playing under the racks of the store as a young girl. Over the years, Carrie learned the ins and outs of the boutique business from her mom. She brought fresh ideas and new styles to the store. When Maureen was ready to retire from the boutique, it was a natural fit for Carrie to take over as owner.

Carrie practically grew up in Raspberry Rose working for her mother, Maureen Sweeney. After graduating from the University of Texas, she made the easy decision to join the ranks of Raspberry Rose. While Carrie truly has a passion for fashion, she also loves the challenges of running her own business. Along with the help of her dedicated staff, Carrie has been able to build upon what her mother established in the clothing boutique and continue the tradition of providing excellent customer service.

As far as her style, Carrie loves to dress for the occasion. When the kids are in tow she might be sporting her “Peace” Shorts by Sanctuary (which she owns in every color) and a simple Michael Stars tee. On the rare date night with her hubby, you could spot her out on the town glammed up in a Susana Monaco halter dress with some funky wedges.
