I’m Leon Tuberman, this generation’s owner of the Barn Furniture (established1890) and this is my family legacy. This legacy extends to a cadre of dedicated workers and craftsman many of which have been working for our family for up to 40 years. My wife Susan of over 30 years I met serving her as a customer in 1983 for a dining room set. I learned the furniture business at my father’s side from toddler to adulthood. My fondest memories are of visiting the many factories in Los Angeles and visiting the Furniture Shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco. At the age of 15 in 1967, I was thrust into running The Barn when my father became unable to work due to health issues. My credo is American Craftsmanship is a legacy to be nurtured and expanded. That is my quest for the last 45 years. Solid North American Hardwoods and no particle board, MDF and veneer are what we do. The finest finishes that will withstand many lifetimes of family use and abuse are the standard, not the up charge.
