Old Town Sweet Shop

Here at Old Town Sweet Shop (formerly Temecula Country Store) we specialize in all things sweet. We have the largest selection of Retro candy in the Inland Empire. We make our own fresh-fudge, chocolate molds, chocolate-dipped strawberries, gourmet caramel apples and so much more. We also have a British grocery section that contains many British imported sweets and snacks. Our gift lines include greeting cards, McCall’s Candles, Sky Valley Farms Soaps, Tin Signs, Gourmet Foods and Hot Sauces, Fun Jewelry and many other great items. The most recent addition to Old Town Sweet Shop is hand-dipped ice cream from the Oregon Ice Cream Company, Glacier Cascade. This Ice Cream is rich and cream and comes in great flavors such as Hugs & Smooches (strawberry with white & dark chocolate pieces) and Beachcomber (like bubblegum but with pop rocks instead). Old Town Sweet Shop is more than just a store, it’s an experience. Come on down and see all of our wonderful offerings.

Established in 1999.
We have been in business for 10 years, 8 of those at our current location in Old Town. We’ve undergone many transitions over the years and believe that we have finally gotten right with our concentration on all things sugar. Old Town Temecula is the perfect spot for our little shop as it feels a bit like going back in time. We are surrounded by so many great things to see and do, such as over 20 award-winning wineries, Pechanga Resort & Casino, Pennypickles Children’s Museum, Old Town Temecula Community Theatre, incredible golf courses, hot air ballooning, historic buildings and fabulous restaurants like Front Street Bar & Grill, Baily’s, The Edge and Sweet Lumpy’s BBQ. There’s so much to do in Temecula; if you haven’t come for a visit yet, you really should. You can plan for a day or several days depending on what you’d like to see and do but Old Town Temecula and Old Town Sweet Shop should definitely be on your “must do” list.

After many years in a corporate sales environment I decided to start my own business. I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but I had the entrepreneurial spirit and knew that I wanted to work for myself. It’s been a long, rewarding and challenging journey but I have definitely fallen in love with the candy business. I spend most of my spare time searching for hard-to-find candy from my childhood because there is great comfort in the memories of our youth and people really seem to enjoy all things retro. Now that we are Old Town Sweet Shop and we really concentrate on all things sugar, I also search for products related to sweets; you could say shopping is my passion but it’s really more about finding things that I know will bring joy to people.
