People sometimes ask how we got into this business. Well, the first thing I tell them is “We have moved at least 20 times (No, we aren’t in the military), and as a result, we have gotten very good at buying and selling furniture!” My husband is a New Yorker (Yonker’s boy), and I’m from California (San Diego girl). It has taken us 31 years of covering many different states to decide on a place to call home. I’m happy to say we have found it in Pittsburgh! We’ve seen a lot of furniture come and go through the years. So when my husband took a break from opening and running medical practices, I opened up Second Chance Home Furnishings. I love it! I’ve noticed that not just with myself, but with so many customers (who I am now happy to call friends) furniture really is a unique reflection of one’s personality. And that’s why we work so hard to find and acquire unique and different pieces. Because you’re so unique.
