Established in 1992.
Wet Pets and Friends started off as a hobby for the Taimuty family in the early 60’s with fresh and saltwater tanks. By the 80’s we were fish fanatics and our adoration of animals branched out to other critters, such as small animals and exotic birds. In the early 90’s, not only was our love of animals a hobby, it became an income. The store is located in McMurray, Pa with the entire Taimuty family working there full time. Without their dedicated team of animal experts, Wet Pets would not have flourished like it has. The store is 11,000 square feet and home to many different animals and pet supplies. If you take a look inside the store, you will see a 15,000-gallon show room encased in solid red oak cabinetry consisting of thousands of freshwater & saltwater fish species, birds, reptiles, small animals and a wide array of products & supplies.

For those fish fanatics out there, Wet Pets is known for its incredible collections of saltwater and freshwater fish, buying from only the most exclusive and trusted companies around the world. Specializing in rare and unusual fish, corals, and plants, the store has a 15,000-gallon show room consisting of freshwater and saltwater marine animals. Birds, reptiles, and small animals and their supplies are also available for purchase. In addition to livestock, we sell and install custom aquariums. In assisting you with keeping up your fish tanks, we offer year round service and maintenance. Wet Pets and Friends does not only house supplies and animals, but it also designs and installs beautiful waterfalls and ponds during the spring and summer months.
