Cannatella Grocery was opened in Melville, Louisiana in 1923 by Charles Cannatella and his father Joseph. Today the store is owned by brothers Brian and Grant Cannatella, the fourth generation to run the family business. Grant and his wife Pam decided to expand the family business to Baton Rouge and in May 2019 opened Cannatella Grocery on Government St. in Mid City.
