Carats To Karat

Carats to Karat is the one and only jewelry store in Nipomo with one of the last fully-trained watchmakers on the central coast. We strive to provide expert services in design and fair trade to our clients. As the only jewelry store in town with two full time jewelers, with 80+ years of skills between them, on staff, we add a much needed service to the area with custom design skills, jewelry and watch repairs as well as the fairest gold buying around. As owners of a 3D Printer and Laser Welder,​ we are able to accommodate a wide variety of services in the industry to our local community and our online clientele. Established in 2012.
After formerly being Artisan Design Jewelry, we re-branded to become Carats to Karat in April of 2015. Though under a different name, we offer the same knowledge and expertise in jewelry, repair, and watchmaking that we are renowned for. It’s our mission to match everyone that walks through our door with a beautiful piece of jewelry they will absolutely love.

Mary and James took over the business in April 2015, after it was previously called Artisan Design Jewelry. Mary’s husband, James, has years of experience having learned the jewelry trade in Budapest and is now a watchmaker. Together, they hope to provide stunning pieces and a wealth of expertise to the community of Nipomo.
