Rogue Valley Coin & Jewelry has been in business serving Southern Oregon & Northern California for over 27 years. Before moving the business up to the local area in the mid 1980s, Michael was involved in the numismatics and precious metals business in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Michael has been involved in the numismatics and precious metals fields since 1962 when he participated in his first coin show in San Luis Obispo. He has had a a full time coin shop since 1970 while living in the Bay Area California. The family moved up to Southern Oregon in the mid-1980s.

The shop first existed as a small office on 8th St from 1984-86. It was founded as a local retail business in July of 1986 when it moved into an actual storefront on Central Ave directly across the from the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater. In 1991 the shop again moved to it’s current location at the corner 8th & Grape St in the Uptown portion of Downtown Medford. The shop continues to operate as a small family owned-and-run business to this day. Michael, his brother John, and his son Chris operate the coin side of the shop, while his wife Clare handles the jewelry portion of the business.
