Rind And Wheat will bring seasonal and cultural breads, baked goods, and artisan cheeses to the community that Ricky now calls home. We will source ingredients to celebrate the local grain and produce economies and these ingredients will be transformed to accompany a cheese board, be slathered on a slice of sourdough or become the filling of a European butter danish. The goal of the shop is to provide you with a comfortable and approachable experience to discover unique and worldly cuisines. In Ricky’s Italian and Portuguese family, breads and cheeses were permanent staples, making it nearly impossible for him to not feel a deep connection to those foods. From those early days with his Mom and Grandmas to the 20 plus years of his culinary career, Baking and Pastry has fulfilled his soul. In early 2007 Ricky began daydreaming of what it would be like to open his own bakery. It only took 13 years to bring his dream to life.
