The Beadman

We are a family owned and been in business since 1972. We specialize in beads and sterling silver jewelry. The beads range from Delica’s, hex, seed beads, stone, glass, bone, metal, shell to Austrian crystal and everything in between. We carry jewelry from around the world, Tye Dye clothing, wind chimes, greeting cards, rock specimens, tapestries, incense, etc.

Established in 1972.
We started in Anderson CA, as Sandra’s Knits and Gifts, making candles, selling yarn, making ponchos and baby clothes. We also consigned local artist work. We moved to Hilltop Dr., Redding and changed the the name to Hilltop Gallery and Gifts. Still sold homemade candles and added Native American jewelry and beads. We moved to Westwood Village and changed our name to The Beadman. This is when we really found ourselves getting into macrame, beads, Native America jewelry and making jewelry. We made move a to Athens Ave and to our current location at 2619 Park Marina Dr. Redding, with approximately 3500 square feet of showroom.

We talked it over one evening and all the sudden we were moving ahead. When we divorced I got the business and the debit and I didn’t want to fail. So I was driven to succeed and support four children. All of my children have worked in the shop at one time or another. Each of my kids have all owned or still own businesses today
