We offer customized fine jewelry, engagement rings and wedding bands to fit any budget and any style. We specialize in made-to-order pieces, as well as traditional designs. All of our work is hand casted by the La Bijouterie family in California. As third generation fine diamond jewelers, we have access to the most exclusive, premium diamonds on the market. By keeping the boutique small and maintaining direct relationships with diamond dealers, we’re able to pass on the benefits of low overhead costs to our customers. Founder Set can be found in the shop every day and truly loves helping customers create unique pieces for their special occasions. The process is a collaboration between the customer and Set, who uses advanced 3D modeling tools to create designs according to exact specifications. Transparency is La Bijouterie’s policy. We strictly work with GIA graded stones to ensure that your diamond is accurately certified. We source 100% conflict-free diamonds from trusted traders and can obtain just about any gem in the world – whether you’re looking for a Round Brilliant or a Fancy Canary Yellow diamond. We want to ensure that we give you our undivided attention and would be very glad to see you with an appointment. When La Bijouterie’s Founder Set was asked why he felt so passionate about opening his own jewelry store, when so many others took the online route, the answer came right away. It was due to the relationships he knew he could forge, and the couples he could help educate about the complicated world of diamonds. Set has always believed that his success can be attributed to the trust he’s built with his clients. It’s easy to be taken advantage of in an industry that the general population knows little about. Having a physical store location in an amazing city like San Francisco was always a must for Set. He felt it was important that potential clients could have an in-person conversation about what they were looking for, while physically holding a ring, and for past clients to have a space to visit for an espresso, or talk about their next jewelry purchase. Set’s story began over 25 years ago when he followed his passion and immersed himself in the family trade. At the age of 20, he traveled to Africa to continue his education around rough diamond trading- from mining to purchasing. After adventuring for over a decade, Set returned to Antwerp, Belgium – the diamond industry’s capital. In Europe, he mastered diamond trading and polishing.
Over the next 10 years he became known for his ethical trading and business practices amongst diamond wholesalers in Europe and worldwide. But despite his success as a diamond trader, he yearned to have a personal connection with the people enjoying his gems.
In 2011, Set and his family opened La Bijouterie, meaning “The Jewelry Shop.” He’s fulfilled a lifelong dream and has found a true home in San Francisco. He welcomes new and old customers to pop in and say Bonjour!
