Our bakery was opened in 1946 by Peter and Grace Sciortino. In 1997 the business was sold to the Vella family. Long time employees of the Sciortino family, Maria, Joe and Luigi have continued to run the business in the tradition of the Sciortino’s and have added new product over the years to continue with the times.

Maria has been a part of the bakery since the age of 13. Now in her 30th year as an employee and 19th year as an owner. Maria loves to see her regular customers on a daily basis and continues to see the business grow. Some of her new customers were once little kids that she would hand a cookie over the counter. Now they are a frequent customer on their own as an adult.
