Heart Fur Paws is a pet care company providing Pet Sitting, Dog Walking and Basic Dog Grooming services to Daniel Island and the surrounding Charleston area.

Established in 2019.
Launched from a love of everything furry and passion for being active in the local community, Heart Fur Paws was founded to provide a caring and reliable service to both its human and pet clients. The company is fully licensed by the City of Charleston and State of South Carolina and insured by Kennel Pro Insurance.

After spending over a decade in the Recruiting industry–working for a global aerospace/defense corporation, a major airline, the largest juvenile detention center in the country, a major telecom conglomerate, and a national commercial real estate firm–owner Carrie Hegenderfer followed the Lord’s leading out of a cubical and into the strange new world of being a business owner. She opened Heart Fur Paws in October 2019 and now joyfully serves pet owners and their furry four-legged friends on Daniel Island and the surrounding Charleston area.

Carrie is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid, a member of Professional United Pet Sitters (PUPS), and comfortable working with special needs pets. She has prior experience as a Demo Rep for Stella & Chewy’s, and as a Volunteer for Pet Helpers, PAWS Chicago, and Miracles in Motion, a Therapeutic Equestrian Center.
